Title: Characterization of growth in human connective tissue.
This project will take advantage of the unique carbon-14 bomb pulse method, to accurately trace life-long turnover rates in human tendon tissue in relation to anatomical position of the tendon and mechanical loading. Studies will be performed to track the destination of newly formed collagen matrix proteins in humans.
